About OVGU
Founded in 1993 in Germany, focused on engineering, natural sciences and medicine. It also offers degrees in economics, management, social sciences and humanities. It is located in Magdeburg, the capital city of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. The University sees its main task as raising the standard of education and scholarship through teaching and research.

Bachelor's Program
After successfully completing the Studienkolleg MDWi Foundation, students can start their Bachelor’s degree programmes in a selected field of study. The Studienkolleg Germany certificate is recognised at any German university.
MDWi Foundation
Studienkolleg Germany offers an intensive foundation year with T/W/M courses, which prepare students for studies in various Bachelor’s degree programmes. In addition to the German language, foundation subjects will be taught depending on the selected study field.
Master's Program
Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg offers a wide range of Master’s programs including programs that are also offered in English.

Research & Study at OVGU
Its research centers on neuroscience, much of which is carried out at the Science Campus Centre for Behavioral Brain Sciences. In terms of engineering research, the university focuses on roof structures and dynamic systems at its Centre for Dynamic Systems. The medical faculty specializes in immunology and the molecular medicine of inflammation.
